I started this blog because of my love and need to write, something which has always brought me great joy as a personal hobby however, up until now, has remained locked away in the dusty depths of my computer.

I suppose I should talk a little bit about myself? I qualified as a counsellor specialising in Person-Centered Therapy in the summer of 2012, embarking on a career filled with emotional support and guidance, challenging yet rewarding experiences with clients, and a fierce eagerness to bring awareness to the Mental Health issues which so many of us struggle with but do not feel safe enough to speak about.

I explore all facets of Mental Health and Wellness here on my blog. I felt that my love of writing poetry needed a space all of its own and so created the Poetry Corner where I invite others to join me to virtually pull up a chair and have a cup of tea. Feel free to submit your own work and while you're here, take a few moments to check out the Wellbeing spot which I designed as a means to help me cope with my own anxiety.
My wish is for this blog to be another voice bringing awareness to Mental Illness in all its forms and a safe, cosy corner filled with warmth and hope for those who suffer.
